A.I.R. New York City member artist Regina Granne is currently featured by 10 Years and Counting, an organization that "invites artists and others to use the power of creativity to illustrate the costs of war and imagine a more peaceful world" as the U.S. enters its 10th year of continuous war.
In the past decade, Granne has used oil painting and drawing to visualize both the motives and effects - global and interpersonal - of violence and warfare. With clarity, elegance, a bold aesthetic, and masterful technique, Granne restructures and pays homage to that which has been shattered by war.
